Ponies

We are waiting for confirmation on the ponies. We hope to have 3-4 ponies on the plaza to ride. Check back to see if we can make it happen this year!

Horseback riding is a lot of fun but takes a lot of work. You need lots of patience and dedication. Maybe you’ll be the next equestrian star!

Historically, horses first evolved in North America and over the years have helped us in many ways. They provided transportation, helped us plow our land, and helped develop communications through travel and postal service (pony express). Today we no longer harness them as we did in the past. We ride horses for sport and watch them race. Horses also help the city police to maintain peaceful rallies and country ranchers to herd their livestock. We owe much of our progress to the assistance horses have given us and we can learn a lot from our horse friends.
