Native American Drum & Dance Ceremony will launch Boston GreenFest 2012 on the Main Stage, Thursday, August 16th at 5 pm. Annawon Weeden will lead the ceremony with friends and family of Wampanoag and Narragansett heritage.

The One Gallon ChallengeTM is a "race" from Plymouth, MA to Boston GreenFest to see how long one gallon of gas will last. On display at City Hall Plaza will be a group of cars you've never seen before.

EcoPhoto Contest 2012

This year's contest is open! All Boston Public Schools are eligible to enter up to 5 digital photos that reflect an eco-friendly activity that a class, or the school engaged in. Entrants are judged on the criteria of the environmental aspect covered, the scope of participation (the class, school, families, the community) and the quality of the photos. Prizes include a special field trip program at the Boston Nature Center for the top 3 winners and the next two winners will receive gift certificates of $250 for environmental texts for their school library.
